The cool thing is the 2.5-mile hike from the Spruce Railroad Trail near Joyce Washington will take you through an abandoned railroad tunnel and down to the popular swimming hole.

There are several videos below showing how amazingly blue the water is at Devil's Punch Bowl. It doesn't make sense that something so beautiful has the nickname of the devil and I did try and discover the meaning of its origin. I came up short so I think the mystery of the Devil's Punch Bowl will have to wait for another day.

I will say taking a trip to see this amazing lake would be worth it.
