Discover The Ultimate: This Antique & Fruit Mall Off I-90!
Have you ever stopped at this fruit and antique mall just off I-90, in Thorp?
I've lived in Washington for 10 years and passed by this landmark just off I-90 so MANY times. A couple years back, I finally stopped. What an awesome place! Now, I stop EVERY time, usually while returning from Seattle.
Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall is about 10 miles from Ellensburg, at 220 Gladmar Road Thorp, WA 98946. There's a gas station next door, so it's really ideal. You can take a break from the road to shop for fruits and specialties, and gas up the vehicle. Oh, I highly recommend getting an ice-cream cone. Trust me.
Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall is Washington's Most Charming General Store.
LoveFood.com has the list of the most charming general stores in every state. I admit, I'm a HUGE fan of Washington's choice. And, Seahawk fans love it, too.
Every visit, I pick up something different. There's a HUGE selection of salad dressings, various sauces, and all kinds of jams, jellies, and pickled products. There's also a refrigerated section with cheeses, deli meats and products. And, check out the candy! There is a wide variety and surely something for everyone. Antiques are upstairs. According to the Mall website:
Along with the freshest produce and best antiques around, Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall works hard to bring in many wonderful specialty food items, gifts, locally made ice cream, espresso and wine from local businesses. Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall hopes that shopping with us becomes one of your family traditions.
I have a road trip coming up soon, and am looking already looking forward to the drive home. A stop in Thorp is already on the agenda.
