Pasco Police have now located what they believe is the suspect vehicle in a recent smashing of a speed trailer.

Over the weekend, a vehicle took out trailer

Over the weekend, Pasco PD reported during the night on Chapel Hill Boulevard near Road 68, a vehicle went up over the curb, and smashed one of the department's speed trailers.

These are those devices that flash your speed, urging you to slow down. Investigators were able to locate the vehicle pictured in our story, and it has damage matching that sustained by the trailer.

The Nissan Pathfinder was located, but Pasco PD did not say where, it appears it was unoccupied as the search continues for the driver. The Department said humorously on their Facebook page the trailer is on of their best "informants" and they are not taking the assault on the unit likely.

No word on how much damage was inflicted on the speed control unit.  The search for the driver of the vehicle continues.
